The problem was the Pokémon anime series- arguably the best promotional tool the franchise had- had concluded its story arc with Ash finishing his journey to the Pokémon League at Indigo Plateau.īecause the source material of the original games had been tapped by the anime but the next games were still some time off completion, a different approach was required for the anime’s second season. Indeed, Pokémon from the games that would eventually become Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version had been teased to fans for some time at this point. A sequel to the original video games was inevitable. Pokémon was doing tremendous business, far surpassing all expectations. "To extended our reaches to the stars above." "To denounce the evils of truth and love." "To unite all people's within our nation." Everyone looked up when there they heard laughing. "Yep," Misty agreed and they took a step to follow, but suddenly an iron hand dropped from above and grabbed Emma, making her gasp. "All right, let's dig in!" Ash said and ran to the side with Brock, and Misty and Emma exchanged an amused look. The Pokémon all turned to where Emma's and her family's Pokémon were and started to walk toward them. Emma turned to all her friends' Pokémon, "Okay everyone, time to dig in, have fun." He sighed sadly, "Yeah, you right," he said.

Brock pulled out his Poké balls and threw them, "Geodude, Onix, Zubat, Vulpix, it's time to come out and have fun!" Misty threw her Poké balls, "Goldeen, Staryu, Psyduck, you're invited too!" Ash threw his Poké balls, "Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pidgeotto, join the party!"Īll the Pokémon came out of their Poké balls, and then Ash held another Poké ball, "Charizard-" Emma stopped him by grabbing his wrist, "Don't! It's better not to let him out. "Hey, why not let your Pokémon out too?" she asked as she looked at Brock and Misty, not noticing Ash walking closer. "The food is delicious," Misty complimented.Įmma saw all her Pokémon and her family Pokémon were inside in their room, eating. "No way, Mom and I helped her," Emma answered. Brock looked at Emma, "Did Hanna made all of this by herself?" he asked. "Pika," the male mouse said with a smile.Įveryone started to dig in on the food at the tables. And all the Pokémon." They clicked their glasses together. Ash bend down as he looked at Pikachu, "And thank you too, Pikachu. "Hooray!" everyone called as they held up their glasses. "First let's salute Ash for finishing at the Top 16 at the Pokémon League, and doing Pallet Town proud," Alex said as he held up his glass. "And we all own for the Pierce family a big thank you for hosting us today, now let's start the party," Delia said. "And thanks to Ash, for representing us so well," Professor Oak said. "I'm very happy to be back home, and to everyone who supported me all through the Pokémon League, I just want to say thank you very much," Ash said and gave a bow. Ash was standing on a stage with his Pikachu, mother, Alex and Professor Oak.
Back at Pallet Town, everyone were celebrating Ash's Top 16 achievement in the Indigo Plateau Conference at the backyard of the Pierce Mansion.
